VESPA

The assignment:

Create a trio of print ads for a specific company. I chose Vespa.

Nostalgia can play a large part in someones decision to purchase a product. With this in mind, I took to InDesign and started with a color pallet of blacks, purples, and honey colors. I wanted a modern feel that also felt like a 90s kids magazine. I wanted the client to feel like they were looking at an old MAD magazine, or a goosebumps book cover because these were all popular during the T/A’s childhood. This promoted a feeling of nostalgia, while featuring the key benefits that pertain to the T/A’s needs and desires. Using hexagons with a dripping honey effect gives it a balanced, perfectly contrasting tone.
